Bereavement Program

The Bereavement program at Mount Sinai Hospital provides support and counseling throughout the grieving process to families who have lost a loved one.

Mount Sinai Hospital staff, including psychologists and social workers, provides families with referrals to needed resources. When planning a funeral or commemorative service, Hospital staff can refer families to the appropriate contacts. Similarly, when dependent children and widows are at a loss without a deceased family member, the Hospital staff will direct them to the appropriate resources, if necessary.

Mount Sinai Hospital Montreal cares for the families of those who have passed on with the utmost compassion and support. The Hospital ensures proper and dignified follow up with families subsequent to their loss.
