Volunteering

It’s not just about human beings,
it’s about being human.

Mount Sinai Hospital Montreal proudly depends on many dedicated volunteers who generously donate their time and support to numerous programs, activities and departments.

Today, over 200 volunteers devote their time, talents and compassion on a regular and part-time basis to help the Hospital carry out its mission. Volunteers are orientated, trained and guided to create a rewarding experience for both themselves and the patients. Volunteers are carefully selected based on their talents and trustworthiness. Following an initial interview a police verfication and reference check are performed.  Volunteers are assigned to areas of the Hospital where their skills, talents and strengths will be most efficiently used.
