Mount Sinai Hospital Centre Montreal’s Interdisciplinary Council is composed of professionals holding a college or university diploma who are directly involved in health services, social services, research or education. Physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurses and/or nursing assistants are not eligible for membership in the Council.
The Interdisciplinary Council is accountable to the Board of Directors for forming, the committees needed to assess and improve the quality of the professional practice of the whole of its members, when required, making recommendations on the proper distribution of care and services dispensed by its members and carrying out any other function entrusted to it.

Mount Sinai Hospital Centre Montreal’s Council of Nurses is comprised of nurses and nursing assistants. The Council of Nurses is accountable to the Board of Directors for assessing the quality of the nursing acts performed in the Hospital Center, making recommendations on the rules of nursing care applicable to the members, making recommendations on the proper distribution of care and assuming any other function entrusted to it.
