Bereavement Program

For families who have lost a loved one at the hospital, the Mount Sinai Hospital Bereavement Program provides support and counseling during the grieving process.

Mount Sinai Hospital staff, and social workers, provide families with referrals to needed resources – for example when planning a funeral or commemorative service, or when dependent children and widows have difficulty coping with the loss of a family member,

The Mount Sinai Bereavement Program cares for the families with the utmost compassion and support, ensuring proper and dignified follow up subsequent to their loss.
