Out-Patient Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Montreal-area patients with COPD can enroll in an eight-week outpatient program, consisting of one hour of tutorials and one hour of exercises, three times a week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. to noon). Also offered is an eight-week maintenance program—one session every Wednesday—at the end of the first program. Patients are seen in the clinic and are given a six-minute walking test one, three, six and twelve months after the conclusion of the program, in order to ensure that they continue to exercise.

The outpatient program also has a component for patients who have interstitial lung diseases (FPI and others). This program has educational and exercise components, twice a week, on Monday and Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
